What's it all About?
Rail Invest RI is a private public partnership between Seaview Transportation, Newport & Narraganset Bay Railroad and various local and state stakeholders within the State of Rhode Island making investments in Rhode Island's railroad infrastructure. Through various statewide programs and private investment, public-private rail investments in Rhode Island have exceeded $8 million over the last 6 years and created over 50 new full and part time jobs in that same time period.
We are an advocate for public-private rail investments in Rhode Island. We have successfully rehabilitated older rail lines, improved rail ports, and created rail/highway safety programs. Rail investment supports local businesses spending nearly $1 million into the state’s economy each year.
